Quality and manufacture
How a batch is made, what it is tested against, and what travels with it to your door.
Purity
98.0 percent
Minimum by RP-HPLC at 220 nm, area normalisation
Water
8.0 percent
Maximum by Karl Fischer on lyophilised lines
Retained samples
12 months
Held from dispatch against any query on a batch
Shelf life
24 months
From manufacture at minus 20 degrees Celsius, retest date on every batch
From synthesis to released stock
1Synthesis
Solid phase synthesis on resin, or recombinant expression where the line calls for it. Raw materials are received against a specification and quarantined until identity is confirmed.
2Cleavage and purification
Cleaved from resin, then purified by preparative RP-HPLC. Fractions are pooled on purity, not on yield.
3Lyophilisation and fill
Filtered, filled to the labelled content and freeze-dried in the vial. Stoppered under vacuum or inert gas and sealed.
4Testing
Identity by retention time against the reference standard and confirmed by ESI-MS. Purity and related substances by RP-HPLC. Water by Karl Fischer. Acetate by ion chromatography. Residual solvents by GC.
5Release or quarantine
A batch that meets every line of its specification is released to stock with a batch number and a retest date. A batch that fails any line is quarantined and does not ship. There is no partial release.
6Picking
Orders are picked oldest batch first, in date only. The batch number is written to your packing list at packing, so what you receive is what the register says you received.
What ships with an order
| Packing list | Every line with its batch number, quantity and the presentation shipped. |
| Certificate of analysis | Per batch, carrying the analytical results and the retest date. Released with the shipment or on request. |
| Chromatogram | The RP-HPLC trace behind the purity figure, on request for any batch. |
| Commercial invoice | For customs, with the value and the description declared as research chemicals. |
| Batch lookup | Any batch number on a label or packing list resolves at certificate lookup, without signing in. |
Batch numbering
A batch number tells you when it was made and what it is, and it is the same number on the vial, the carton, the packing list and the certificate.
L2607-RT30-0002
| L2607 | Lyophilised, manufactured July 2026 |
| RT30 | The product code, the same code you order against |
| 0002 | The batch sequence for that product |
Storage, stability and retest
| Warehouse | Lyophilised stock is held at minus 20 degrees Celsius, protected from light. Ancillaries are held at ambient. |
| Retest date | Carried on every batch. Stock past its retest date is removed from sale automatically and cannot be shipped. |
| Shelf life | 24 months from manufacture for lyophilised lines held at minus 20 degrees Celsius. |
| Transit | Lyophilised powder tolerates short ambient transit. Cold chain is available on request. |
| On arrival | Return to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Once reconstituted, hold at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and use to your own protocol. |
If something is wrong
1Tell us the batch number
Email the desk with the batch number and what you are seeing. The batch number is enough for us to pull the record and the retained sample.
2We check the retained sample
A sample from the same batch is held for 12 months from dispatch. We test it against the same specification and send you the result.
3Outcome
If the batch is out of specification it is withdrawn, every account that received it is contacted, and your order is replaced or credited. If the retained sample is in specification we tell you that too, with the data.
Short shipment or transit damage
Report within 5 business days of delivery with photographs of the outer carton and the vials. Freight claims are filed by us.
